To help local communities develop their full potential, we work with partners to enable access to crucial forms of support, from scholarships that can lighten a family’s load to nurturing mentors who provide care and guidance.
Our Seedlings programme, launched in 2007, provides at-risk youths with internships and scholarships. Banyan Tree associates are rallied to the cause, serving as dedicated volunteer mentors who work hard to build rapport with the youths.
Covering kitchens, service, and overall restaurant management, the training programme starts as paid internships, which also provide basic life skills training to assist with overall personal development. Hands-on approach within a live training restaurant provides genuine situational experience.
